How did I become an Elopement Photographer?

Story Time!

Standing on top of a giant granite cliff, feeling the wind blowing through my hair I gazed upon one of the most magnificent views I’ve ever seen. The sun was just about to dip behind the horizon casting a beautiful orange glow over the Yosemite valley. I stood, camera in hand, waiting for that perfect moment to capture just how epic this landscape is. Just then, I see a couple walk out onto one of the rock ledges in my frame.

The man is dressed in a suit and the woman is wearing a stunning white gown, and I realize they are getting married. Right here. On this giant cliff. 3,000ft above the valley floor. At sunset. I put my camera down and watch as these two adventurous souls join their lives together forever holding back tears, madly in love.

I was wrong, I had not been gazing upon the most beautiful view, but I was now. At this moment I knew I had found what I was meant to do. That feeling I have whenever exploring incredible places is so much more amazing to share with two people who want to adventure together forever, and documenting these real-life moments with authentic, emotive photos that show the free-spirited, kind souls that you are.

"It was such a joy to work with Kasey and I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for an enthusiastic, wonderful-to-work-with, talented photographer! She beautifully captured my partner and I's intimate at-home wedding ceremony and we couldn't be more happy and thankful for having her be our photographer! She gave very helpful direction with posing and shots and even kindly accommodated a slight schedule change, showing up about an hour earlier than we had originally planned. We couldn't of asked for a better experience; thank you so much Kasey!"

Edi & Lauren

I'm an adventurer, an artist, and I love love. I first picked up a camera when I was 15, and I knew I wanted to be a photographer one day.

I have been backpacking since I was 5 years old with my dad, and grew up to continue loving adventure of all kinds and have a serious passion for the outdoors.

I started as a landscape photographer, and have been privileged to shoot all over the world. I love portraits just as much as I love shooting the remote, hard to get to places - the challenge to capture not just the outlines, but that sense of magic that people and places keep hidden within.

Who am I?

As your elopement photographer, I get to combine my passion for the outdoors with my passion for capturing the love between people. This is why I pour my heart and soul into my work, because I am genuinely so excited to be there on your elopement day!

I am so lucky that I get to call my passion my job. My favorite part of my work is getting to meet fun, adventurous and kind people and capture the love between them, giving them memories that they can cherish forever.

You’re kind, adventurous souls who want emotive photos they will cherish forever

Not afraid to get a little messy, run around in the sand or chase the waves

You want to let your hair down, let it blow in the wind, and feel free

You value experiences over things

You want an epic elopement day you'll never forget

Most importantly, you want to celebrate your love in a way that ignites your souls, you want it to feel like you

who are you?

Think we're the perfect fit?

say hi!
