A Sunrise Yosemite Elopement at Glacier Point

There’s something truly magical about mornings in Yosemite National Park. The quiet air, the light of the sun shining on the granite cliffs, and the sun peaking out above Half Dome as the morning begins. Abigail and Frank began their Yosemite elopement just after sunrise at Glacier Point, sharing an intimate first look surrounded by panoramic mountain views.

Tucked into the trees in one of my favorite hidden spots, the park was still and peaceful as they exchanged their private vows, promising forever with only the trees and cliffs as their witnesses.

As the sun came up over Half Dome, we explored Glacier Point together, taking in that golden light and the breathtaking views of Yosemite rising behind them.

Later in the morning, their closest friends and family gathered for a heartfelt Yosemite wedding ceremony overlooking the valley, with Half Dome as their backdrop. It couldn’t have been a more iconic spot to say “I do.”

After the ceremony, we ventured down into Yosemite Valley, where they wandered through a quiet meadow surrounded by towering granite walls. The day ended with an intimate reception celebrating with their loved ones, sharing their first dance, and cutting cake after the sun set. It was the perfect ending to a truly unforgettable Glacier Point elopement full of joy, adventure, and the wild beauty that makes eloping in Yosemite so special.
