First we will check into our cabin stay, and get settled!

On night one we will have our welcome dinner so everyone can get to know each other. We will then end the night with a fireside hang and some s'mores!

After breakfast, the shoots begin! We will start with a first look at the A frame cabin, then head out to the Calla lilies on the coast. We will spend the late morning exploring the redwoods

After a mid-day break for lunch and some time to relax, we will go to the beach for elopement activities! We will have a luxury beach picnic, cake cutting, champagne pop, and jeep truck photos on Highway 1.

We'll spend the evening adventuring on Big Sur's iconic coastal bluffs through blue hour, and end the evening sharing pizzas back at the cabins (& more s'mores!)

After breakfast we will go to the beach to continue the styled shoots! Then we come back to the cabins for a cozy couples session.

After check out, we have an optional lunch hang if you want to keep the fun going before heading home! 

Meet Your Hosts

We met at a photography retreat years ago, bonded instantly over our shared love for the open road (yes, we're both Subaru girls), and quickly realized we were the perfect creative duo. As true California girls, we've spent our careers chasing golden light and windswept cliffs: Kasey behind the camera as an elopement photographer and Nicki styling unforgettable shoots. 

After attending retreats that inspired us in some ways and missed the mark in others, we dreamed up Wild Honey - an intentionally crafted space that keeps all the magic, community, and creativity we loved... and rewrites everything we didn't.

Frequently asked Questions

Is there separate lodging for each attendee?

Attendees will be sharing a cabin with 1-3 other people, but each person will have their own bed! If you are booking with someone you know, we are happy to accommodate pairing you in the same cabin. 

Will Food be provided?

We will provide a dry breakfast + coffee each morning, snacks in your cabin, and dinner each night. There is a break in the shoot timeline where you are able to purchase lunch if you would like a meal at that time!

If we are traveling, what airport do we fly to?

Monterey does have an airport with a few flights. San Jose & San Francisco have flights + rental car options. We will have a group chat for attendees and you'll be able to coordinate carpooling if that is something you are interested in. Transportation + travel are not included for the retreat. 

Are permits included?

Big Sur is a very unique fragile coastline and we stand strong by LNT guidelines and have the appropriate permits for each location/set up that we will be shooting. We will go over safety and environmental guidelines with everyone the night before shooting (as well as some tips to prepare beforehand).

Who is this open to?

We are happy to have new and experienced photographers, videographers and content creators. To remain within our permit guidelines we do ask that all equipment must be hand held (i.e. no drones).
